The MUSE products allow users to transmit video, AC power, RS-232 and IR signals up to 300ft (90m) over a single unshielded CAT-6 cable. The MUSE is powerful enough to power-up a 150 watt LCD display hundreds of feet away from a signal and power source. The MUSE family of products are fully compliant with HDMI and HDCP standards. Simplicity of installation makes it a “no brainer” to use MUSE in any AV system design.

What cable can I use?
Unshielded CAT6, we recommend AWG 23 for best performance. Smaler guage cable will decrease available power. Details specifications and recommended cable type are provided in the user guide. The following cable and connectors were tested by Altinex.

Can I buy pre-terminated cable from you?
We do not provide cables for MUSE. The structural CAT6 cables are availble from many supliers and are easy to find on the web.
What happens if I use CAT5 cable?
CAT5 is not recommended for MUSE applications. Performance with CAT5 has not been tested and we do not plan to test it.
What type of equipment can I connect to it?
Any other equipment with less than 150 W continuous power consumption. If equipment is not compatible with MUSE the system will shut down to protect itself.
Can I connect a 240v display?
Most of the displayes will operated from 100V to 240V. The output from MUSE is 120V AC 60HZ
